At our core we are a Chinese Medicine informational website. We are also working towards building and supporting the larger Chinese Medicine community. In addition to freely sharing a broad array of foundational and modern Chinese Medicine theories, research and applications, we aim to connect Chinese Medicine practitioners with each other along with their respective schools and state associations.

Mume Fruit (Wu Mei)
  • Inhibit leakage of lung qi - lung deficiency cough.
  • Binds intestines - chronic diarrhea or dysentery.
  • Generates fluids - alleviates thirst due to heat from deficiency or qi and yin deficiency, xiao ke.
  • Expels roundworm - alleviates abdominal pain.
  • Stops bleeding - blood in the stool, uterine bleeding with blood deficiency signs (dryness, thirst, parched mouth).

TCM Formula of the Day

Mume Fruit Pill (Wu Mei Wan)dang gui (chinese angelica root)
  • Generally used with roundworms - abdominal pain, irritability, stifled chest w/heat, vomiting after eating, cold hands and/or feet.  
  • Chronic diarrhea, IBS, or other digestive disorders characterized by both heat and cold.
  • May be used with diabetes, particularly in cases with corresponding digestive issues.
