What Is The Yin Yang House?

At our core we are a Chinese Medicine informational website. We are also working towards building and supporting the larger Chinese Medicine community. In addition to freely sharing a broad array of foundational and modern Chinese Medicine theories, research and applications, we aim to connect Chinese Medicine practitioners with each other along with their respective schools and state associations.

  • Extinguishes liver wind, stops spasms and convulsions - childhood convulsions or facial paralysis, seizures from liver-wind or wind-phlegm-heat.
  • Expels wind, stops pain - headache, red eyes, sore, swollen throat from an OPI or liver wind, loss of voice.
  • Transforms phlegm, dissipates nodules - phlegm-heat scrofula and other phlegm nodules.
  • Expels wind and stops itching.

TCM Formula of the Day

Gentiana Purge Liver Formula (Long Dan Xie Gan Wan)huang qin (baical skullcap root, scutellaria)
  • Hypochondriac pain, bitter taste in the mouth, irritability, easily angered, headache, dizziness, red, and possibly sore, eyes resulting from liver fire rising.
  • Urinary symptoms such as painful, hot urination perhaps with swollen genitalia, dark and/or turbid urine from damp heat accumulation in the lower jiao.
  • Leukorrhea of yellow color with a strong odor.
